Students will read the first half of “Legend of Sleepy Hallow” (a copy can be found on the handouts page) and analyze the language (both figurative and rhetorical) and write another one-page analysis for the first half of the story (identifying author’s voice, purpose, irony, theme, metaphors, similes, and syntax)–Remember that MLA formatting and Citations ARE REQUIRED–Submit through Google Classroom
