American Literature –Writing Prompt
Since its publication in 1839, “The Fall of the House of Usher” has prompted many critical views. Some say it is the narrator who is insane, not Usher. Other’s say that each character represents a separate aspect of human psychology—the conscious mind, the unconscious mind, and the soul. Write an essay in which you defend or refute one of these critical views. Do NOT use any Graveyard words and make sure you use in-text citations and separate paragraphs.
