students read/analyzed Poe’s “The Purloined Letter” and three poems by Dickinson “I like to see it lap the miles, ” “Because I could not stop for death,” and “the Brain is wider than the sky”–focusing on language use, logical fallacy, misapplication, syllogism, and syntax usage

Homework–SL 1-7, completion of the above work (printed and annotated)–write 10 stem questions for Poe and 5 for Dickinson— you cannot use the same questions twice
