Students will read/analyze “On the Road” with a focus on stream of consciousness writing, syntax, and punctuation
|Students are to respond to the following questions:
1. How is Rivera’s piece similar to its aim to Faulkner’s piece?
2. Compare this speech with one other speech in terms of approach to audience, use of techniques.
3. Imitate Kerouac’s style by writing a one-page reflection about the beginning of a trip you’ve taken (or might take).
